Since becoming a lawyer in the late 1970s, Gary has perfected the art of
listening and understanding client needs. This is especially important in
domestic relations cases, which include divorce, child custody, child
support payments, and juvenile court. For him, the most rewarding aspect of
his job is helping people get through personal crisis.
Gary has been certified as a specialist in Family Relations Law by the Ohio
Bar Association. He is one of only four attorneys in the Akron area that
have earned this honor. In addition to matters of family law, he is also
experienced with litigation, employment and criminal law.
Gary is active in community service. He served five years as Chief City
Prosecutor for the City of Akron. He is the past President of the board of
The Victim Assistance Program and he served on the board and was President
of the Akron-Summit County Public Library. He is also a board member and
past president of the Akron Jewish Community Federation, and the Jerome
Lippman Jewish Community Day School.
Professionally, Gary has served as chair of the Akron Bar Association Family
Law Section, and he has lectured extensively about family law. Currently,
Gary is a senior lecturer at The University of Akron teaching a course
entitled, "Legal Environment of Families."
He joined Goldman & Rosen at the time of its founding in 1990.
