Peter focuses his practice on bankruptcy and commercial law. He represents clients in Chapter 7, Chapter 13 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, and represents clients and trustees in adversary proceedings. While primarily focused on bankruptcy law, Peter also serves clients in the areas of litigation, collections, business law, and landlord-tenant relations.
He is licensed in the United States District Court and the United States Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of Ohio and the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and Akron Bar Association, and
is currently serving as the Chairman of the Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section. He has also spoken at numerous continuing education seminars for the Akron Bar Association and at the White-Williams Bankruptcy Institute.
Peter was appointed by the Akron Bar Association to serve on the 2008-2010 term of the Attorney Constituent Group for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of Ohio. Among his accomplishments, he was voted an Ohio Super Lawyer Rising Star in the 2009, 2010
and 2012 editions of the Ohio Super Lawyers Magazine and the 2009, 2010
and 2012 editions of Northern Ohio Live magazine. Peter was nominated by his peers for this award which is reserved for attorneys under the age of forty or who have been practicing for ten years or less and was bestowed upon only 2.5% of Ohio attorneys.
